In recent months, the safe haven of social studies has come crashing down. In previous years, it was a refuge, a resting place for weary students. No longer is this so. The class no longer teaches about the important resources that make the economy in the state flow. We skip the interesting history to get to the boring stuff. Such are the terrors of the Milsted Empire.

“Guys and Gals and Non-binary pals”

-Ms. Milsted 2025

This class seems to only have 1 topic: Native Americans. We have learned about Indian tribes from across the country and how they were kicked off their land by the white settlers. This lesson is being pounded in every day. Last year, we did lots of fun projects. Now we do the worst part of middle school so far: annotating. Document analysis too. These horrible duties fill our mornings with drudgery, and melt our minds with boredom. Compare this class to language arts. In Mr. Gushanas’s class, we learned all the history about the Russian revolution. In SS, we talked about American history up until 1774, THEN SKIPPED THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR!!! These crimes have pushed the class to the breaking point. Every day tensions grow. Who knows what will come of it?

Insightful readers may have noticed that I am still alive. How have I survived the tortures of 2nd period Social Studies? The answer is in the name: 2nd period. The 2nd period class is incredibly stacked. Featuring legendary heroes from days long past such as Joetism, the Pickle, Adrian hajapaoasignuasdlgvbqa, and Ianner. Their great feats of heroism keep the class tolerable, including pulling fire alarms, saying exceptionally funny things, and just general ragebait. The great showdown is approaching in the most political class on campus.

Final Ranking

In conclusion, we have talked about the horrors of Ms. Milsted’s Social Studies. My general advice is do not upset her at all, because the work will stay easy. But prepare yourself for hours of boring history about Native Americans. Final rating: D+
